Easy Vegan Chili


When the weather begins to turn colder, chili is a must! This is a fast and delicious chili that is mild enough for kids but can also be spiced up for adults. With only 7 ingredients you'll have one delicious bowl of comforting chili in about 20 minutes. If you don't have the type of beans I have listed you can just use what you have.


Easy Vegan Chili

Serves 3-4


1 14 oz can diced tomatoes (can also use canned whole tomatoes, cut up)

1 small green pepper, diced (any color pepper will also work)

1 small onion, diced (about 1/2 cup)

1 8 oz can tomato sauce

1 tablespoon chili powder (or more if you like your chili spicy)

1 15 oz can garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained and rinsed

1 15 oz can chili beans, undrained


Place tomatoes, green pepper, onion, tomato sauce, and chili powder in a large saucepan. Stir and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Lower heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.


Add drained garbanzo beans and undrained chili beans to the pan. Stir, cover pan with a lid, and continue to simmer 10 more minutes. Serve in bowls with tortilla chips if desired.
