
Tip of the Week: Want to eat healthy and oil-free at a restaurant? Order a salad and steamed vegetables, without dressing, and pack your own additional toppings and dressing in your purse or backpack. Sometimes restaurants will frown upon outside food, but if they can't accomadate your diet then you have no choice. I've done this lots of times and it's never been an issue. I typically pack tofu cubes and nuts/seeds and a little bottle of balsamic vinegar.

This course is similar to the Kickstart Your Health course but does not have a cooking demonstration. It is a four class series suitable for a location where a cooking class is not feasible. Depending on one’s perspective, Nutrition Essentials is about losing weight, maintaining a healthy weight, or simply embracing an overall healthful way of eating. Single classes are also offered.
