Tip of the Week: The vitamin C in limes and other citrus fruits helps the body absorb iron when eaten with plant-based sources of iron (nonheme iron) like beans, lentils, leafy greens, quinoa, and tofu. Limes are also packed with essential nutrients such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, folate, and choline, along with small amounts of vitamins A, E, and K. Try these recipes to boost your lime juice intake: Love to Be Green Dip, Guacasalsa, and Potato Salad with Jalapeño-Lime Dressing.

More About Our Services
Personal and Family Nutrition Consulting
Prior to the initial consultation session, the client will complete a medial history and diet questionnaire as a basis for discussion during the meeting. The principles of whole-food, plant-based eating and calorie density will be presented and a plan will be designed to transition the client(s) to a healthier way of eating. The family consulting session can include up to four people.
Subsequent sessions can include assistance with a kitchen reset, a grocery shopping tour, and follow-up coaching for success and answering of any questions and concerns.
Personalized Meal Plans
One of the hardest things for people who choose to transition to a whole-foods, plant-based diet is knowing what to eat. A personalized meal plan takes all the guess work out of that issue. I will meet with you (either in person or on the phone) to discuss what foods you like and dislike, how much time you have to shop and cook and what sorts of equipment you have in your kitchen to work with. Then I create a meal plan for the week including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. All recipes are included. The personal and family nutrition consulting sessions provides a one week meal plan, but this goes beyond that to tailor it completely to you and your life.
